PREVENTION EDUCATOR needed in Delaware County with ADAC of Delaware County. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Present OASAS approved model programs in schools countywide. Network with school staff and administration to present OASAS approved model programs and services to meet changing school needs. Provide parent/adult education programs. Develop and implement community education programs for groups such as parents, youth-at-risk, and service groups on general or special substance abuse issues. QUALIFICATIONS: Work experience/education in the prevention, intervention, and or treatment of ATOD issues is preferred. Creativity, and strong communication and organizational skills a must. Individual should meet one of the following requirements. Four year degree preferred in human services, health, education or related field. Working knowledge of various computer programs needed to perform required job duties. Such as Word Processing, Internet, and E-mailing. Travel will vary. Moderate travel throughout the county may be necessary. This is a full time position 35 hours per week, 10 month position with the months of July and August off.
